Madison Ortega

Piece in Issue 1

Is the Patriarchy Sucking the Life out of You? pg. 17

How do you market to women? pg. 50

About the artist

Madison is a chef and artist living in upstate New York. Fed up with how women are treated in the industry and society in general, she spends her spare time making art as a comic relief for those very real and pent up frustrations. Looking at the way goods and services are marketed to women as well as how the media shapes young women's desires and creates insecurities at an early age. Making fun of these things and laughing about them can be the first step to looking deeper, relefecting and having another level of media literacy from a feminist perspective.
